Before joining Ely ‘On Par’ Golf Center, Karl was the head teaching Professional at ‘Sunbury Golf Complex in Surrey. Prior to this he was the Club Professional at both Hazelwood & Twickenham Golf Clubs. Karl became the youngest Club Professional in Surrey when he joined ‘Ruspur’ Golf Club in 1990 immediately after completing his PGA training at ‘Fullwell’ Golf Club. Born and raised in Shropshire, a regular County and Schools player, he achieved the title of School Boy Champion & County Champion all before the age of 15, immediately after leaving school he commenced his PGA training working as assistant Professional at Hereford Golf Club.

Karl believes that everyone, regardless of gender, age or ability should be given the opportunity to participate and enjoy the wonderful game of golf. Since joining Ely ‘On Par’ Karl has been pro-active in working hand in hand with the various local schools and local education authority, as well as various disability groups, council sports development department and Country wide golf development programmes, promoting the game of Golf, and opening up the opportunity for everyone to play the game. Karl regularly holds Golf ‘Taster’ sessions and promotional days where everyone is welcome to come along and ‘Have a Go’.

Individual lessons & packages, group coaching, and weekly roll-up sessions are all available, in addition, Karl runs fully structured Group Courses for both Men, Women & Juniors, full starter programmes, School Holiday ‘Day Camps’ various competitions, and a number of ‘Free Sessions throughout the year are just some of the formats Karl has introduced here at Ely ‘On Par’. Karl also works with ‘Video’ analysis, Bio Mechanics, Adult & Junior ‘Explaners’ and a ‘Centre Cup’ Putting aide, all to assist in Golf Instruction.
